I congratulate the Bayanihan as they present their latest works for the new season production at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Entitled “Beyond Folklore 2" (50 years after Broadway) the show promises to be another exhilarating discovery of what the dance company has achieved and continues to achieve in its pursuit of artistic excellence.

Fifty years after Broadway, Bayanihan has evolved into the most sought after cultural diplomats for the Philippines building bridges with other countries where our dancers perform with the best performers from all over the world. Reaping countless awards from prestigious competitions abroad has not stopped Bayanihan from digging deeper through research the many facets of Philippine culture.

Tonight I congratulate Bayanihan, Its Artistic team and team and its performing artists. I am proud to be part of one of the finest dance companies in the world.
